Retargeting with receipt data

Available properties

When Receipt Paid events fire, they include detailed purchase properties:

  • Retailer: Store where purchase was made
  • State: Geographic location of purchase
  • Location: Specific store location
  • Additional purchase details: Product categories, amounts, etc.

Creating segments

Use receipt properties to create targeted segments similar to ecommerce data:

Example segments:

  • "Purchased at Whole Foods in CA in the last 90 days"
  • "In-store shoppers in Target locations"
  • "High-value receipt submitters ($50+)"

Setting up segments:

  1. Go to Lists & Segments in Klaviyo
  2. Create new segment
  3. Use Receipt Paid event properties as conditions
  4. Combine with time-based filters for recency

This enables sophisticated retargeting based on actual in-store purchase behavior, similar to Shopify integration capabilities.
