Retargeting with receipt data
Available properties
When Receipt Paid events fire, they include detailed purchase properties:
- Retailer: Store where purchase was made
- State: Geographic location of purchase
- Location: Specific store location
- Additional purchase details: Product categories, amounts, etc.
Creating segments
Use receipt properties to create targeted segments similar to ecommerce data:
Example segments:
- "Purchased at Whole Foods in CA in the last 90 days"
- "In-store shoppers in Target locations"
- "High-value receipt submitters ($50+)"
Setting up segments:
- Go to Lists & Segments in Klaviyo
- Create new segment
- Use Receipt Paid event properties as conditions
- Combine with time-based filters for recency
This enables sophisticated retargeting based on actual in-store purchase behavior, similar to Shopify integration capabilities.
